X-Strap Case Study

X-Strap Success!

Stoffel approached a major fortune 500 logistics company approximately a year and a half ago to discuss supplying them with a bar-coded plastic trailer seal. This well known company was originally supplied by a competitor with a seal utilizing a bar-coded label.

This label was causing issues at the distribution hubs as the bar-coded labels were deteriorating in poor weather conditions, making the seals difficult if not impossible to scan. Our client was adamant about having a fixed length seal (one locking position), that was at least 9” long as well.

Using direct laser-print technology, Stoffel Seals was able to eliminate the use of a label and instead, print the barcode directly into the plastic. This eliminates any affect from harsh weather conditions. Using the basic platform of its very popular adjustable Tug Tight seal, Stoffel Seals’ design team was able to add a stop point at the 9" length and flatten the beads into a thin, yet strong sealing strap. The design has become Stoffel Seals new X-Strap Seal and is now in use by many other Stoffel clients with the same or similar issues.

The X-Strap is proof of Stoffel Seals’ ongoing commitment to providing our clients with products that combine High Performance design and Superior Value!

Due to the X-Strap's unique thin strap design, competitive price & durability; additional opportunities have emerged. Potential customers are finding that the
X-Strap's 9" length is also an excellent tote seal.

Where certain seals may be slightly short for certain totes, the X-Strap has proven to be a good fit for many.
